There is a shortage of Black professionals in most health fields. If you line up 100 doctors who are currently seeing patients there would only be 5 who are black.
One reason for these disproportionate numbers of black and brown students entering these professions includes the lack of role models from diverse backgrounds. And another is the lack of access to biomedical enrichment activities. In particular those that expose minority students to STEM and healthcare careers during the K-12 years.
We are here to change that for physicians and all healthcare professions!
